Project - Khazar Belt.
This is a recreation of a belt from the Sarkel fortress. It is amazing. On display in the hermitage museum in St Petersburg. Details may be found here.

Project status - 15% done (22-Mar-04).

Work completed:

• Nothing.

Work in progress:

• Wax model of end strap pieces- 75% done. I have carved the general outline and have sculpted the remains. I need to tidy it up, make them a little thinner and then add the rivet part to the back.

Work to be done:

• Finish the end bits.
• Do the buckle.
• Do the two other plaques
• have casts made
• gold plate them
